A video is available on our website via Car & Classic. This is a rarely available VW Golf Mk4 GTI 1.8T 150BHP 5-speed manual. Rare due to its condition, ownership and provenance, and presented in the highly desirable “Black Magic Pearl” coachwork, complemented by full extended leather heated sports seats including door cards and part dash. The interior is in exceptional condition, with only minor wear to the driver’s door handle, which is being replaced. This car has been owned by the current owners for the past 19 years and benefits from an excellent service history, including 16 stamps from VW and BMW specialists. It has been meticulously maintained, recently receiving discs and pads all round, new tyres, and a cambelt and water pump at just over 80k miles. Completely original, it represents a true keeper’s example. Personally, I have been very impressed, having driven it 95 miles home from Essex and used it daily since. It is smooth, enjoyable and surprisingly addictive to drive. At 22 years old, it is a credit to its previous owners. It is presented with a stunning, unmarked heated sports interior trim, original book pack with stamped service history, and two remote key fobs. Registered January 2004 by Testwood VW Southampton, this is one of the last of its era. Originally an ex-dealer demonstrator, it is believed to have been purchased by the long-term owners from their lease company, remaining with husband and wife ever since.
